Q LTD wins 2003 Addy Award and two Silver Citations of Excellence from Ann Arbor Ad Club 24 Feb 2003
Q LTD won one ADDY Award and two silver citations at the annual Ann Arbor Ad Club gala ceremony held on February 15 at the Washtenaw Community College Morris Lawrence Building. The Addy's are the American advertising industry's largest and most representative competition for creative excellence.
Q LTD won the ADDY Award in the "Advertising for the Arts, Campaign" category for its design work revamping all promotional materials for the 2002 Ann Arbor Summer Festival. Mike McGowan was the art director and designer on the project; Bill Burgard was the illustrator.
A silver citation of excellence was awarded to Q in the "Collateral Material: Brochure, Four Color" category for the University of Michigan School of Business Viewbook. The art director/designer on the project was Q vice president and creative director, Christine Golus.
A second silver citation of excellence was awarded to Q in the "Advertising for the Arts, Collateral" category for its work on the Detroit Symphony Orchestra's Capital Campaign Brochure; Mike McGowan, art director/designer.
The ADDY Awards Competition is a three-tiered competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation and presented locally by the Ann Arbor Ad Club. The Ann Arbor Ad Club, an advertising-marketing organization, was founded in 1991 and consists of more than 200 members.
