The Ark, one of the finest acoustic music venues in North America, selected Q to redesign their web site and create posters, ads, and marketing materials for the Ann Arbor Folk Festival.

We met with Ark volunteers, supporters, and patrons to understand how fans, artists, and booking agents use The Ark’s web site, what’s most important to each audience, and what they wanted from the new web site. We also attended the annual Folk Alliance Conference to research the music industry and how it works with The Ark.

Q then created an efficient information-architecture system, an innovative user interface, and a unique content-management system that allows non-technical Ark staff members to easily update the web site. The Folk Festival materials established a new marketing approach for The Ark’s annual fund-raising event.
