Q LTD Develops New Web Site for University of Michigan School of Education

20 Dec 2010

Ann Arbor-based identity and web design firm Q LTD announced the redesign and launch of a fresh, new web site for the University of Michigan School of Education. The new site enhances the school’s visual brand identity and enhances communication with the school’s extensive range of audiences.

“A site of this magnitude draws on the full range of expertise at Q. The complete site renovation included research and focus groups, information architecture, interface design, and a custom content management system,” explained Jocelyn Edin, Art Director at Q.

The site was developed by Q’s team of designers, information architects and web producers, along with members of the U-M School of Education communications department.

The primary purpose of the site is to work as an image-building and informational resource targeted to prospective School of Education students. Additionally, the site serves as a vital communications tool for current School of Education students, faculty, staff, alumni, research funders, and donors.

The Q interactive team built the site with ExpressionEngine, a content management system that enables the School of Education communications team, as well as faculty and staff, to more easily create and manage content updates.
