TOM & JERRY
Batter:
* 2 eggs, separated
* 1/2 c powdered sugar
* 1/2 c granulated sugar
* 1/4 t vanilla extract
* dash nutmeg
Beat egg whites with 1/4 c sugar and 1/4 c powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Beat egg yolks with 1/4 c sugar dn 1/4 c powdered sugar until very thick & lemon-colored. Add vanilla and nutmeg. Fold egg-yolk mixture into egg-white mixture, using rubber scraper. Makes 2 cups batter.
In each mug, pour 1 jigger of blended whiskey and 1 tablespoon of batter. (Robin also adds a bit of brandy.) Fill mug with boiling water; stir. Sprinkle top with nutmeg. Makes eight 6 oz drinks.
