2011 UM Alumni Show

Last Friday Alissa and I attended the University of Michigan 2011 Alumni Show.

As a graphic designer I rarely have an opportunity to submit “fine art” to an art show, but this year the theme, “Things That Move”, provided me an opportunity to share the web site I designed for Peter Sparling, UM Professor of Dance.

See this iphone video captured at the Work • Ann Arbor gallery on State Street. More of the show is housed at the Slusser Gallery.

Also included in the video are three adjacent pieces: Katherine Emmons, “Big Bling”; Fran Lattanzio, “What happened to Jessie? 2011”; and Rita Dibert's, “The Most Beautiful Man in the World”.

II must admit it was a treat to see this large body of work from UM alumni spanning the 1950s through 2011.
