The excitement began to build at the beginning of the year. Whetting my appetite was actor/writer Stephen Frye's sneak-peek review I came upon in a doctor's waiting room. Peter Morville was an early adapter, bringing his into the office upon it's release in April. At that point, it became a simple matter of when.
It took me until nearly the end of the year. Now, after only a few short weeks, my iPad has become a cherished object, exceeding my already high expectations. What impresses me most is its versatility, as it delivers quality experiences across an extraordinary array of activities: reading, watching, listening, communicating, learning, sharing, and creating. Wary of its capability as a sketchbook, I only recently downloaded a drawing and paint application. I sat down in an easy chair, and doodled this sketch with my finger—what fun! Now, I'm excited to try one or two of the several stylus that are available.
If it's not too late, and if you've been nice, I highly recommend adding an iPad to your holiday wish list.
